King’s Men – The Choral Scolars of The Choir of King’s College, Cambridge

King´s Men of Cambridge

This exquisite 18 men choir consists of experienced singers from the renowned King’s College Choir in Cambridge, UK.  The King’s College choir is perhaps best known for its Christmas performances broadcast by the BBC. All the members of King’s Men are University students from different fields at King’s College and have for a while now travelled the world with their conductor Stephen Cleobury.

The King’s Men will give two concerts during the festival, on Friday August 21st 17.00 they will sing an English Evensong and that same evening at 20.00 they will sing a varied concert program including works by Tallis, Purcell, Byrd, J. S. Bach and Mozart.

The King’s Men are this year’s special guests of the Festival of Sacred Arts and will also be participating in a concert on Reykjavik Cultural Night on August 22nd and in a High Mass in Hallgrimskirkja on Sunday August 23rd 11 am.
